Marjorie Louise Arthur

Marjorie Louise Arthur, 84, of Huntington, widow of Verlin Jennings Arthur, passed away Monday October 12, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Friday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Amos Simmons and Pastor Willis Mills. Burial will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova, WV. She was born February 19, 1931 in Wayne County, WV, a daughter of the late Robert Henry and Tenna Finley Nelson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mills Chapel Church. In addition to her husband and parents she was also preceded in death by two sisters Pauline Maynard and Glenna Fetty. Survivors include her daughter and caregiver Terri Lou Arthur of Lavalette, WV; son Stephen (Delores) Arthur of Huntington; four grandchildren Amy Noble of Louisville, KY, Eric Arthur of Huntington, Ashlee (John) Jankovsky of Huntington and Travis (Kara) Smith of Barboursville, WV; four great grandchildren Riley Noble, Graysen Arthur, Kennedy Smith and Abram Smith; three sisters Nellie Horn of Wayne, WV, Roberta (Carl) Adkins of Wellston, Ohio, and Rosalea Boyes of Wayne, WV; brother Robert H. “Bob” Nelson of St. Joe Beach, Fla.; a host of loved nieces and nephews and three special friends Josie Turner, Ila Scarberry and Jane Malcolm.
