Martha Janet Stump

Martha “Janet” Thompson Stump, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014 at her residence. Janet was born October 23, 1934 in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Roy and Thelma Crawford Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Stump, her brothers, Jack Thompson and Jim Thompson and her sisters, Charlotte Mudge, Mary J. Wolfe, Midge Chatterton and Anna M. Rose. Her survivors include her brother, Billy Joe Thompson (Ramona) and many precious nieces and nephews. Janet graduated from Clendenin High School and Marshall University. She was employed by the Cabell County School System for 34 years. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Rev. Ford Price. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Home until service time.
