Martha Mae Little Terrell, daughter of Glenn Ambrose Little and Martha Mae Kicklighter Little, was born on May 1, 1930 in North Carolina. She passed from this life into the presence of her Savior on July 19, 2012. She married Raymond L. Terrell on September 18, 1949 and shared nearly 62 years of marriage with him until he passed away on July 18, 2011. She gave birth to three children but served as a surrogate mother to countless other children. She had 13 grandchildren who called her “Granny” and found comfort in her honest smile and warm embrace. Her capacity to love was nearly boundless and she purposefully extended that love to all who came within her circle. One of her more notable expressions of love was her willingness to teach in Sunday Schools and Good News Clubs, many children learning from her of the truth of the Savior. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Jewell Surgeon and Glenna Ours, and two brothers, Glenn (Sonny) Little and Wendell Amis Little. She is survived by three sisters, Dottie Hawes, Betty Travis and Carol Metz. She lived most of her life in the Huntington/Barboursville area. Known by many as a remarkably decent, wise and loving woman, she leaves a legacy of love in the hearts of the many whose lives she touched. Considering themselves blessed for having been in the circle of her love are her children, Deborah (Robert) Robinson, Barbara (Danny) Gartin, and Joseph (Bonnie) Terrell, and her 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, Kimberly Peers (c. Kaiden, Kole) Laurie (Sam) Wyco (c. Samuel, Susana, Sarah, Rachel, Isaac), Beth (Kevin) Hall (c. Zachary, Owen), Warren (Kim) Reuschel (c. Brittany, Nick, Sophia), Mindy (Mark) Osborne (c. Charity, Lydia, Hannah, and Luke) Joshua Reuschel, Caleb Reuschel, William (Misty) Reuschel, Sharon Reuschel, Hope Reuschel (c. Isabella, William), Benjamin (Sherrylee) Terrell (c. Brandon, Alexandra, Elena) Nathan (Sara) Terrell (c. Annika, Devin), Mary (Brian) Morrell. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 pm Thursday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by her son Joseph Terrell. Entombment will be at 10 am on Friday at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Friends may call from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday at the Reger Funeral Home. There will be no procession to the cemetery. Condolences may be made to the family at www.regerfh.com.
