Mary Carolyn Smith

Mary Carolyn (Artrip) Smith, 59, of Huntington died Thursday, June 1, 2006 at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV. She was born October 17, 1946 in Huntington, WV a daughter to the late Henry Taylor Artrip and Pauline Beatrice (Mayo) Artrip. Mary was a member of the American Legion Post 93 in Kenova where she spent many days as a volunteer. She is survived by one son; Tony Artrip and his wife Lisa of South Point, OH, and three daughters; Elizabeth Smith and her husband Ray of Huntington, Melissa Hatfield and her husband Mike of Huntington, and Bonnie Cestaric and her husband Rocky of Ripley. Additional survivors include nine grandchildren and a dear friend, Vicki Short of Altizer along with many other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Ms. Smith will be conducted at 1:00pm Saturday at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Siers and Pastor Jerome Matt officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00am until time of service at the funeral home.
