Mary Catherine Keesee

Mary Catherine Keesee, 67, of Apple Grove, WV passed away Thursday, November 13, 2008 at her home. She was born December 21, 1940 in Wayne County a daughter to the late Charles and Alva (Fairchild) Mayo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Mayo and one grandchild, Shelly Wallace. Mrs. Keesee was united in marriage to Gary Keesee who survives. She was of the United Baptist Faith. In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children; Charles and Robin Workman of Ceredo, Anna and Michael Raines of Dalton, OH, Gregory Allen Keesee of Mason County, Gary Everett and Dawn Keesee of Huntington, and Michael Keesee of Huntington. Other survivors include eight brothers and sisters, Shelby Mayo, Alice Sperry, Ronald Mayo, Bonnie Fitzpatrick, Alfreda Lowe, Charles Mayo, Martha Nelson, and Tim Mayo. Mrs. Keesee also leaves behind eight grandchildren; Brandy Jo, Mindy Chardae, Lori Blaine, and Nicholas Workman of Ceredo, Aubrey and Quentin Raines of Dalton, OH, Emily Rose Marcum of South Point, OH, and Santana May Keesee of Huntington, four great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Keesee will be conducted at 11am Sunday at Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home with Minister Shelby Mayo officiating. Burial will follow in the Mayo Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Saturday at the funeral home.
