Mary Catherine Turner

Mary Catherine Turner, 82, of Huntington, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. A Funeral Liturgy will be conducted by Monsignor Dean Borgmeyer at 12 pm on Thursday May 2, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Huntington. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Mary was born on February 5, 1942 in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late Carl Burch and Frances Agnes Hill Mooney. Mary was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and St. Mary’s School of nursing. She was a registered nurse for many years in Huntington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Turner; two brothers, Carl Thomas Mooney and Michael Anthony Mooney; and two sisters, Ida Ellen Mooney and Frances Ann Mooney. Mary is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Joseph "Pat" Turner and Greg (Mindy) Turner; daughter and son-in-law, Margaret (Stephen) Stacks; eight grandchildren, Catherine, Turner, Tucker, and Ty Stacks, Jeremy and Mallory Watts, Sarah and Kevin Day; seven great grandchildren, Fiona, Emmy, Rhett Watts, Konor Day, Katie, and Jeremy Turner and Owen Dean Craft; one brother Nick Mooney; two sisters, Vivian Cornell and Sarah Hart; and a host of nieces and nephews; and her special pup, Bear Turner. Friends may call from 11 am until service time on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Huntington. Reger Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
