MORTON WATSON PARSLEY, 68, of Huntington, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Open Door Baptist Church, Huntington by Pastor Jerry Chapman. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. He was born December 17, 1935, in Crum, W.Va., a son of the late Jesse and Ruby Dawson Parsley. He was a general contractor and a member of the Open Door Baptist Church where he was a deacon, song leader and a member of the choir. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Jimmie Lynne Patrick Parsley; a son and daughter-in-law, James Tucker and Candice Parsley of Huntington; a daughter, Jennifer Lynne Parsley of Huntington; a granddaughter, Courtney Renee Parsley of Huntington; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Mary Parsley of Clayton, Ga.; a nephew and his wife, Greg and Sandy Parsley of Lawrenceville, Ga.; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Anna Belle and Bill Welch of Huntington and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Esta Patrick of Huntington and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Reger Funeral Home and after noon Saturday at the church.
