Mack Lycurgus Jordan, 98 of Huntington, went to be with Jesus, Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the VA Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Minister Billy M. Jordan and Pastor Phillip Warren. Burial will follow in Spring Valley Memory Gardens, Huntington. He was born March 19, 1915 in Huntington, WV a son of the late William and Florence Handley Jordan. He drove a truck all his life, even during WWII while serving in the Army. He was a member of Prince of Peace FWB Church where he loved going and he loved his Jesus. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Lucille Jordan; a son, Lowell Wooten, two daughters, Bettie Hampton and Bonestal Jordan; three grandsons, Greg Jordan, Leslie Jordan and Bryon Wooten, and one great grandson, Billy Jordan, Jr., and nine brothers and sisters. Survivors include, a son and daughter-in-law Billy Mack and Carol Jordan, one son-in-law, Bernard Hampton, two daughters and sons-in-law, Beulah Ann and Albert Thomas and Bonnie and Calvin Thomas all of Huntington, and one daughter and son-in-law of Chesapeake, Ohio, Barbara and Lee Shockley. In addition, 18 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, including one special niece Rabb Petit of California and a host of friends. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.regerfh.com.
