Nellie Louise Mckenzie

Nellie Louise McKenzie, 86, of Huntington, was reunited with her husband in Heaven on Friday, February 25, 2011. Louise had been a homemaker all of her life and was a member of Twentieth St. Baptist Church in Kenova. She was born the daughter of the late Guy and Anna Swann Johnson in Cabell County. Also preceding her, were her beloved husband, Robert T. McKenzie; siblings, Roger Johnson, Pauline Ferguson and Mildred Blankenship. Services will be conducted Monday, February 28, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Ceredo by Pastor Rodney Hale. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Louise is survived by her devoted daughters, Susan (Bill) Lewis and Brenda (Douglas) Damron; grandchildren, Trenton (Tonya) Damron, Tranae (Josh) Mathis, Bryan Lewis and Jennifer (James) Gardner; great-grandchildren, Colton, Kaylynn, Madison, Karen and Nathan. Also, surviving are siblings, Jewell Sullivan, Ronald Johnson and Marjorie Blankenship. The family want to thank a special friend, Clara Rowe. Friends may call at First Baptist Church of Ceredo from 11 a.m. until time of service. Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home are assisting the family with arrangements.
