Nona Gail Bocook

Nona Gail Bocook, 55, of Kenova went home to be with the Lord Saturday, April 29, 2006 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. Nona was born February 26, 1951 in Wayne County, West Virginia. She was a member of the Russell Christian Baptist Church in Russell, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents Milroy and Elva Marshall; one sister Wanda Smith; and her beloved daughter Stephanie Bocook. Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Ray Bocook; one son and daughter-in-law Stephen and Krystal Bocook; and one very special grandson Landyn �Bubby� Bocook all of Kenova. Three brothers Roy Marshall of Gallipolis, OH, Scott Marshall of Wayne, and Gary Marshall of Kenova. Two sisters Janet Thomasson of Huntington and Rita Marshall of Rittman, OH and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Nona was a caregiver for two children, Austin and Brayden Mayo whom she loved dearly. Funeral services for Mrs. Bocook will be at 1:00pm Wednesday at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Rogers and Rev. Chad Burn officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Valley Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donation to the Russell Christian Baptist Church. These may be made at the funeral home.
