Ota Hager

Ota Veva Dent Hager, 99 of Huntington, widow of the late William McKinley Hager, daughter of the late Libby May Ashworth and Samuel Lee Dent, passed away November 24, 2009 at Wayne Nursing and Rehab Center. She was a retired cook for the Cabell County School System, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 8 Huntington, and a volunteer at the Veterans Hospital for many years. Born December 19, 1909 in Hamlin, WV, she was preceded in death by four sisters, three brothers, and a special daughter-in-law Elaine Hager. She is survived by a son Karl Hager, a daughter Billie J Boley, grandchildren Karla Meadows, Libby Hager, Richard Hager, Barbara Saeler, Sue Eroipti, and Charles Boley, great grandchildren Chad Hutchison, Jeremy Hutchison, Tommy Meadows, Josh Hager, Ryan Bailey, Richard Casto, and Brayden Casto, great-great grandchild Jessica Hutchison, many wonderful nieces and nephews , and special friend Angie Gilkerson. The family extends a special thank you to the entire staff of Wayne Nursing and Rehab Center for the wonderful care of her. Graveside services will be held at Hager Family Cemetery in Hamlin, WV on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 11:00am. Visitation will be 6-8pm Monday, November 30, 2009 at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home.
