PAUL EDWARD NELSON, 79, of Huntington, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Thomas Dyer and Pastor Willis Mills at noon Saturday, July 8, 2017, at the Reger Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Maple Hill section of Docks Creek Cemetery. Paul was born on March 9, 1938, in Wayne County, W.Va., to the late Timothy and Ruby Smith Nelson. He was retired from Nelson-Crockett Home Improvement. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Nelson; two sisters, Mary James and Garnet Sturgill. He is survived by his wife, Naomi Frances Carter Nelson; one son, Paul Nelson Jr. of Huntington; two daughters, Ruby Collins of Kenova and Patricia Kimbler of Huntington; five grandchildren, Jason Crockett, Deidre Crockett, James Paul Crockett, Troy Kimbler and Matthew Kimbler; and three sisters, Hazel Kremer, Bonnie Rummell and Betty Higgins.
