Pearl Bailey

Pearl Bailey, 92, of Huntington, WV passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Reger Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jerry Matt. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park Pearl was born on May 25, 1918 in Dunlow, WV the daughter of the late Marion and Elisia Sammons Ferguson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Bailey. Pearl was a member of Grace Gospel Church for over 60 years, the Democrat Committee Women for the West Huntington area for over 12 years, in 2008 she was named the outstanding Democrat of WV by Governor Joe Manchin, she holds the record for having never missed voting in an election for over 70 years. She is survived by her son: Bob Bailey of Huntington, daughter and son in law: Ruth Bailey Zinkand and John Zinkand of Maryland Three grand children: Robin Lee Bailey, Lisa Diann Bailey and Neal Kennedy Special Friend: Judy Ross and several nieces, nephews and cousins Friends may call from 6-8 pm Monday at the Reger Funeral Home.
