Philip Francis Blatt, 86, passed away Thursday November 21st at Care Core at Meadows Rest Home in Cincinnati, Ohio due to natural causes. Phil was born on Dec. 17th,1937 to Gladstone and Pauline (nee McGraw) Blatt in Huntington. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Jane; his first wife, Verna; his second wife, Bonnie; brother-in-law, Tom; sister-in-law, Patty; niece, Sarah; and nephews, Jon and Joey. He is survived by his six children, Philip (Paula), Jamie (Trish), David (Bonnie), Tim (Terri), Vinny (Sherri), and Mary Beth (Denver); sixteen grandchildren; and twenty-two great grandchildren. Phil started at Canteen Vending as a driver/salesman and retired as the warehouse manager. He was a member of the Teamsters Union local 100 and a long-time union steward. He was a member of Saint Bartholomew Catholic Church and a devout catholic. Phil’s passion was collecting coins, stamps, guns, knives, and baseball paraphernalia with an emphasis on the Reds. Funeral Liturgy will be conducted at 11 am Saturday, November 30, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Huntington, by Monsignor Dean Borgmeyer. Rite of Committal will be conducted at a later date in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Friends may call from 3 to 5 pm Friday at the Reger Funeral Home, Huntington.
