Richard A. Mccroskey

Richard A. McCroskey, 66, of Huntington died Monday, August 7, 2006 at St. Mary�s Medical Center in Huntington. He was born March 18, 1940 in Cedar Grove, WV a son to the late Miles M. and Nellie J. Fleshman McCroskey. Mr. McCroskey proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Navy. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Westmoreland Church of Christ. Mr. McCroskey was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1064 in Huntington, and was a retired machinist for CSX. He united in marriage to Mrs. Janet I. Bentley McCroskey who survives. Survivors include five daughters; Dawnetta and Chris Weekley of Huntington, Patricia Ann Dials of Radcliff, KY, Tammy and Dallas Musick of Nicholasville, KY, Jamie Lou Berglund of Huntington, and Melissa Toland of Joplin, MO. Additional survivors include ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren which he dearly loved. He also leaves behind a very beloved pet named Sam. Funeral services for Mr. Richard A. McCroskey will be conducted at 1:00pm Thursday at Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Warren and Minister Jeff Maynard officiating. Burial will follow at the Spring Valley Memorial Gardens. Military graveside rites will be performed by the West Virginia Army National Guard and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1064 of Huntington. Visitation will be from 6-9pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
