RICHARD L. BLANKENSHIP, 57, of Huntington, W.Va., went to be with the Lord November 11, 2005. Richard was born February 12, 1948, son of the late James and Della (Nelson) Blankenship of Kenova, W.Va. He was owner of Wayne County Construction. A loving husband, a very good son-in-law of the late Icy Belcher of Wayne, he kept her last wish to his last breath. He was a loving father and best friend to his daughter and granddaughter, a very caring brother and a friend to all that knew him. He was preceded in death by a brother, Benny Blankenship. Richard leaves behind a loving wife, Mary Blankenship; a daughter, Lita Spears; a granddaughter, Devin Spears; brothers Enos Blankenship, Ed Blankenship, and Herbie Blankenship; sisters, Paula May Smith and Betty Blankenship; loving nieces and nephews; and one special sister-in-law, Pauline Belcher. Memories are forever. Funeral services 2 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2005, at Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home. Burial at Maple Hill Cemetery.
