Richard Frank Loeser

Richard Frank Loeser, 99, of Brookeville, Maryland, formerly of Huntington, WV,loving father and grandfather and widower of Mary Margaret Fleckenstein Loeser passed away Thursday May 28, 2020 at Medstar Montgomery Medical Center, Olney, Maryland.  He was born April 3, 1921 in Louisville, KY, a  son of the late Aloysuis Frank and Caroline Lillian Caummisar Loeser.  Richard graduated from St. Joseph's High School and attended Marshall University. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps having served during WWII.  He was a civil engineer having worked for both the C&O Railroad and the WV State Department of Transportation.  In addition to his wife and parents he was also preceded in death by a son Thomas Loeser; brothers Aloysius Norman Loeser and Edwin Andrew Loeser and sister Elizabeth Lillian Loeser.  Survivors include son Dr. Richard F. Loeser, Jr. (Cathie); daughters Mary T. Loeser (Kirk) and Dr. Caroline S. Loeser (Jeanette); grandchildren Perry Rukrigl (Pierce), Dr. Paul Loeser (Whitney), Tommy, Molly, Danny and Jack Shawhan; great grandchild Evangeline Loeser and sister Joan Virginia Scarberry of Newport News, VA.  A private Funeral Liturgy will be conducted for the family.  Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington.  In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Huntington.  Condolences may be made to the family at www.regerfh.com .
