Richard "Richie" Anderson, Jr.

Richard "Richie" Anderson, Jr., 59, of Huntington, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024 at his residence.  He was born, July 3, 1964, in Huntington, a son of the late Richard Anderson, Sr. and Patricia White Anderson.  He was a retired employee with Eagle Distributing Co. who enjoyed Marshall Football and playing golf, darts and shuffleboard.  Richie had many special friends at the Brass Room and the Club Inn Between.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister Sharon Kay Anderson and uncles Sam and Charlie.    Survivors include sons Joshua (Megan) Vergenz, Jeremy Vergenz and Eric Messersmith; grandchildren Lucie and Oliver; aunt Charlene Anderson; cousin Todd Anderson and his former wife Lori.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 pm at The Brass Room, 2421 3rd Ave, Huntington, WV 25703.  Reger Funeral Home, Huntington, is assisting the family with arrangements.  www.regerfh.com.
