Robert Joe Irby, 89, of Huntington, WV passed away on Thursday April 20, 2023 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House.

Graveside funeral rites will be conducted on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Wayne WV by Pastor Greg Page. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 93. He was born on February 27, 1934 in Huntington, WV the son of the late Alton and Edith Hazelett Irby. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Trent Irby; and step-mother, Ruby Brumfield Irby. He was a member of Locus Grove Baptist Church and a delivery driver for Lowes. He served in the USMC. He is survived by his sister in law, Pauline Browning; nieces and nephews, Tina and Raymond Spangler, Jennifer and Gunner, Brian and Preslee, Chyenne and Gabe, Carolyn and Tommy, Tommy Vance, Della and Hebert, Billy and Deuane and Sabrina; and special friends, Ron and Sara Chapman. A special thank you to Clint and Misty Maynard. Per his request there will be no visitation and he requested no flowers. There will be no procession from the funeral home. Reger Funeral Home, Huntington is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.regerfh.com
