Robert Lucion Marcum

Robert Lucion Marcum, age 99, passed November 17, 2024, at his sister's home. He was born on September 22, 1925, to Amanda (Fry) and Walter Marcum in Wilsondale, West Virginia. He served in the US Navy as Retail Specialist. He was a member of Crossroads Community Church and always enjoyed going to church. He enjoyed spending time with his sister and great nephew Matthew and family and friends. Robert is survived by his sister, Deloris Brain; brother, Roscoe (Juanita) Marcum; many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Beth Marcum; best friend, Linda Gray; and breakfast buddy, Ivan. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Reva (Kilgore) Marcum; brothers, Willis "Bill" (Mary) Marcum, William J. Marcum, Donald (Katherine) M. Marcum, Walter Marcum Jr., Jarvy (Peggy) G. Marcum and Deryl Marcum; and best friend Mark Gray. The family will receive friends from 1 :00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Wappner Funeral Directors-Mansfield, 98 S. Diamond Street. The family will also receive friends from 11:00-1 :00 p.m on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Reger Funeral Home, 1242 Adams Avenue, Huntington, West Virginia, 25704, the funeral service will follow at 1 :00 p.m. He will be laid to rest in Docks Creek Cemetery.
