Ronald D. Mayo

Ronald D. Mayo, 72, of Kenova, died Friday, December 19, 2008 at his home. Born December 12, 1936 in Louisa, KY he was the son of Charles Edward and Alva (Fairchild) Mayo. He united in marriage to Mrs. Janet (Stewart) Mayo who preceded him in death. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Mayo was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Keesee and a brother, Gene Mayo. He is survived by two daughters Alice Faye Mayo and Mary Ann Eplion both of Kenova and two sons Ronald Mayo Jr. of Kenova and Michael David Mayo and his wife Leigh Anne of Huntington. In addition to his children, he is survived by four sisters, Alice Sperry, Bonnie Fitzpatrick, Martha Nelson, and Freda Lowe and three brothers, Shelby Mayo, Charles Mayo, and Tim Mayo. Other survivors include seven grandchildren, Kaylee, Venus, Kimberly, Brittany, Jeremy, Jacob, and Tyler, and eight great-grandchildren, Heaven, Jocelyn, Brianna, Destany, Braylee, Deisia, Dimitrius, and Spencer. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:30pm Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home with Minister Shelby Mayo Officiating. Burial will follow in the Mayo Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Monday at the funeral home.
