Rosalee King-Porter, 83, of Huntington, West Virginia, passed away on Saturday March 2nd, 2024. Rosalee was born in Charleston, West Virginia on February 14th,1941, and spent her childhood in Chesapeake, West Virginia.
After graduating from East Bank High School, she started working for Owens-Illinois, kickstarting a ten-year career with the glass container manufacturing company before having to resign to take care of her daughter, Tannah. Eventually, she went on to study nursing and worked as a Nurse (LPN) for Hospice Care Patients.
Rosalee met the love of her life, Walter “Randall” Porter and the two were married for fifty-one years. Rosalee and Randall’s love created three children, Brett, Tannah, and Dean.
In 2010 Rosalee became a grandmother and her two granddaughters brought back to her payback in joy for all the kindness, warmth, and unwavering compassion she’s touched so many others with throughout her life.
Rosalee was predeceased by her son, Brett Michael Porter, her daughter, Tannah LeAnn Porter, and husband, Walter “Randall” Porter. She is survived by her treasured son, Dean Michael Porter, daughter-in-law, Michele Rose-Porter, granddaughters, Daisy Marie and Vivian Lee Porter (all residents of Santa Clarita, California
Friends may call from 12-1:00pm Monday, March 11, 2024 at the Reger Funeral Home, Huntington
Graveside services will be Monday at 2:30 pm at Montgomery Memorial Park, London, WV
