Roy Jennings Whitt, Jr.

Roy Jennings Whitt, Jr., 53, of Huntington, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024 in Huntington, W.Va. A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 12:30 pm at Docks Creek Cemetery, Maple Hill Section, Kenova. Burial will follow. Roy was born on December 20, 1970 in Huntington, a son of the late Roy Jennings and Brenda Joyce Wooton Whitt. Roy loved NASCAR and model cars. He enjoyed coloring and spending time on the lake fishing. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cleon and Mary Wooton and Glen and Elsie Whitt; and one brother, Jerry Glen Whitt. He is survived by his son, Christopher Cleon Whitt; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kayla Sue (Tony) Hamilton and Breana Sue (Mark) Cline; seven grandchildren, Kristin and Karson Hamilton and Malakiah, Lillyana, Braeighlee, Josiah and Legend Cline; three sisters, Beverly Sue Frasher, Patricia Ann Crow, and Tammy Lynn (Shawn) Tomblin;  three half-sisters, Kathy Whitt, Brandi Whitt, and Virginia Mae Whitt; his paternal aunt, Barbara Hamm; a close friend, Jamie Black; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call from 10 am until noon on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at the Reger Funeral Home, Huntington. A procession will leave for the graveside service at noon.
