Ruth Ilene Meadows

Ruth Ilene Meadows, 93 of Huntington, WV passed away on May 17, 2016. She was born on January 21, 1923 in Cabell County, WV; a daughter of the late William Earl Morrison and Crystal Dunkle Morrison. She was the widow of Cecil Reed Patterson Jr. and Howard A. Meadows. Ruth was preceded in death by her stepmother, Minnie Smallridge Morrison; her son, Michael R. Patterson; and two brothers, Harold and Richard Morrison. She is survived by five sisters: Dora Mae Gillispie of Martha, Carol Rusmiselle of Anaheim, Rosalie Morris of Albuquerque, Fay Campbell of Cincinnati and Helen Ranson of Huntington and one brother, Dale Morrison, of Huntington; her daughter, Susan Hamilton; her grandsons, Sean C. Hamilton and Owen Hamilton; her stepsons, Roger Meadows and Howard A. Meadows Jr. and her step grandchildren, Andrew Meadows and Allison Scott, all of Huntington. Ruth graduated from Barboursville High School and after the death of her first husband Pat, she became an LPN at Cabell Huntington Hospital where she worked on 2 North until her retirement.
