Sammy Lee May

Sammy Lee May, 68 of Huntington, WV passed away July 3, 2019. He was born January 29, 1951 in Kenova, WV. He was a valiant Vietnam veteran, who has left this earth after a lengthy illness to join his cherished oldest son, Robert Lee, and his beloved older brother, William Eugene May. Sam was a gentle soul, had a heart of gold, and was known to stand ready to help anyone in their time of need. He spent most of his adult life working and sharing his skills as a master mechanic. Sam was preceded in his passing by his parents, Ostos May and Velma Mae Roach. He is survived by his son, Joshua Garrett May, who stayed by his side throughout his illness. Also surviving arehis grandchildren, Austin May and Josilyn May; and a special family friend, Roberta Wondolowski. In Sam's honor, donations would be appreciated to The American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
