Sarah Louise Smith

Sarah Louise Smith, 54, of Huntington, WV wife of Richard “Tony” Smith passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024 at home surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 1:00pm at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington with Pastor Amy McNeil officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Valley Memory Gardens.

She was born on June 11, 1969 in Huntington, WV the daughter of Sandra Louise Starkey Skidmore and the late Mitchell Pennington Skidmore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by a half-sister: Beckey Pinnick and grandparents Claude and Shirley Starkey,

She is survived by her husband of 35 years Richard “Tony” Smith her children Jacob A. Smith and Jennah L. Smith. Half-brother: Mitchell P. Skidmore III.

She was a member of the Mount Union Church and a Sunday school teacher. A teacher at Spring Valley High School for over 25 years where she taught Home Economics. She held a Masters Degree in Reading which she obtained in 2001 and a member of WV Alpha Delta Kappa Chapter Teacher Soriety since 2012.

Friends may call from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Home.
