Shirley Mae Hamilton

Shirley Mae Lewis Hamilton, 74, of Huntington, WV passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Visitation for family will be from 11 am to 1 pm and for friends from 12 pm to 1 pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Reger Funeral Chapel with Pastor John Skaggs, Rev. Calvin Perry and Rev. Joseph Bragg. Burial will follow at Burlington-Greenlawn Cemetery, South Point, OH. Shirley was born on February 3, 1942 in Charleston, WV the daughter of the late Martin Lewis and Leitha Jones Nutter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: John B. Hamilton, two children: Victoria L. Mattox and James J. “J.J” Mattox and grandson Dant Loving. Four brothers; Junior, Andrew, James and Thomas Bragg. Shirley was a retired health care provider. She is survived by her children: Patrick Mattox & fianc Missy Haynie and Margaret Mattox & fianc Granville “PJ”, five grandchildren: Ashley and Brandon Simmons, Shawn Faykus and Douglas Ellison and Gnero Baker, one brother : Joseph Bragg and wife Brenda Bragg and a sister: Clarris and Herbie Skaggs and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Patrick Mattox, Shawn Faykus, William “Bill” Maynard, and Ronnie Mattox. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Dickerson and Nathan Clark.
