Stephanie Ann Rowsey

Stephanie Ann Carter Rowsey passed peacefully Tuesday, March 25th. She came into the world Monday, August 9th, first daughter of Homer and Lorella Carter. Stephanie attended St. Marys School of Nursing, and had a fulfilling career as an LPN while raising two children. Her lifelong passion was advocating for shelter animals, as well as giving a loving home to cats and dogs over the years - waiting for her with wagging tails at Heavens' Gate.Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents Homer and Lorella (Pearson) Carter, and two sisters, Francia Ferguson, and Linda Doyle Keyser. She leaves behind two children Joseph Scott Smith, and Marisa Ann Smith (Mitchell) and two granddaughters Chloe Ann Pickett and Aidan Elizabeth Smith. Lastly, her Beagle Trinity Rowsey  and her good friend Karen McWhorter. The family will hold a private burial, and would ask any expressions of sympathy to be in the form of a donation in Stephanie's name to their favorite no-kill shelter.
