Steven Wesley Fortner

Steven Wesley Fortner, 84, of Huntington, WV passed away at St. Mary’s Medical Center peacefully on Saturday April 12, 2025 surrounded by his family.

Per his request there will be no public visitation or funeral service.

He was born on April 25, 1940 in Huntington, WV the son of the late Charles Wesley and Elizabeth Kyer Fortner.

He was a retired machine operator with Owens Illinois and bus driver with the TTA.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Ernestine Elliott Fortner, two sons and daughter in law: Wes Fortner and Duane Fortner(Connie) and daughter and son in law: Tammy (David) Bias all of Huntington.

Eight grandchildren: Zach Bias(Elizabeth) of Vero Beach, FL., Rachel Bias(Jared), Clayton Bias, Ali Fortner, Ane Fortner, Ava Fortner(Tighler), Jaxon Fortner(Ella) all of Huntington and Amber Nieto(Alex)of Denver, CO. Seven great grandchildren: Alaina, Alarah, Kai, Finn, Archer, Leo and Liv. One brother and sister-in-law: Bill Fortner(Linda) Lexington, KY
