Surrilda Marie Raines

Surrilda Marie (Spaulding) Raines, 95 of Kenova, WV went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 26, 2015. She was born on April 12, 1920 in Wilsondale, WV; a daughter of the late Leland Spaulding and Lula Brewer Spaulding. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Raines; her brother Mose Spaulding, W.R. Spaulding, Octavia Spaulding, Addison Spaulding, General Spaulding and Lillian Brewer. She leaves behind to mourn her loss, one daughter, Carol Sue Riggs (Doug) of Kenova, WV; three grandchildren: Joe Wayman (Lisa) of Ceredo, WV, Tonya Lively (Scott) of Chesapeake, OH and Christopher Riggs (Danielle) of Cannonsburg, KY; two brothers: Billy Spaulding (Jenny) of Wilsondale, WV, Homer Spaulding of Cardington, OH; one sister, Rebecca Dodge (Walter) of Reynoldsburg, OH and six great-grandchildren: A.J. Daniels, Kelly Wayman, Michael Collinsworth, Morgan Dixon, Kaden McCoy and Kerrigan Riggs; one great-great grandchild, Jayden Wayman and other loving family members and friends. Surrilda was a longtime faithful member of the Kenova Church of God on Maple Street in Kenova, WV. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 3 p.m. at Kenova Church of God at 1601 Maple Street in Kenova with Pastor Rabun Haddock officiating, with visitation starting at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Kenova, WV.
