Terry Jarrell Mays

Terry Jarrell Mays, 45, of Lavalette, died Monday, February 8, 2010 in Mabscott, WV. He was born November 2, 1964 in Huntington, WV to Ted O. Mays and the late Doris L. (Ransbottom). Mr. Mays united in marriage to Charity (Ramey) Mays who survives. Other survivors include four children Stephanie Pruitt and Andrew Pruitt of Lavalette, Elmon Collins of Wayne, and Ashley Ortiz of San Antonio, TX, three brothers Teddy E. Mays of Wayne, Todd Mays of Huntington, and Carl Wilkes and his wife Linda of Lavalette, a sister-in-law Joan Wilkes of Kenova. Additional survivors include a special uncle Keith Mays along with a host of nieces and nephews all whom he dearly loved. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother Steve Wilkes. Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm Thursday at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery at Wayne. Pallbearers will be Andrew Pruitt, Shane Ramey, Shane Maynard, Todd Mays II, Carl Wilkes II, Dylan Mays, Macky Mays, LeRoy Collins, and Justin James. Visitation will be from 5-8 Wednesday at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home.
