Theodosia "Cricket" Keaton

THEODOSIA CRICKET KEATON, 81, of Barboursville, West Virginia, formerly of Iaeger, West Virginia, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, after a long battle with dementia. Cricket was born on March 27, 1936, in Lex, West Virginia, to the late William Clyde Campbell and Ella Payne Campbell. She was a teacher’s aide for many years where she was employed by the Council of Southern Mountains and the McDowell County Board of Education. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the late Kyle Keaton, along with her siblings, Herbert Edgar Campbell, Era Caroline Campbell, John Robert “Gus” Campbell, Edna Marie Campbell, William Fred Campbell, Lloyd Eugene Campbell, Charles Edward Campbell, Virginia Evelyn Bowden and Louise Robinette. Left to celebrate her life and cherish the memories are one brother John Crockett Campbell, of War, West Virginia; one daughter, Nancy Keaton-King and her husband, Wayne King, of Pembroke Pines, Florida; two sons, Billy Keaton of Bristol, Tennessee; and, Christopher Keaton, and his wife, Amy Vaughan-Keaton, of Cannonsburg, Kentucky. She is survived by two grandchildren; Brian Keaton and his wife, Pam Keaton, of Charleston, West Virginia; and, Ashley Patterson, and her husband, Drew Patterson, of Mechanicsville, Virginia. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 450 Courthouse Road, Princeton, West Virginia, with the Reverend Don Morgan officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 1:00 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice, the American Alzheimer’s Association, and/or The Village at Riverview, 1356 Riverview Drive, Barboursville, West Virginia. Reger Funeral Home of Huntington is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be made to the family at www.regerfh.com.
