Thomas David Marcum, 76, of Fort Gay, WV left the confines of his earthly home to be with those whom had gone on before, surrounded by his loving wife, his four children and his youngest brother. David was born march 17, 1942 in Williamson, WV the second of three sons of Harmon Marcum and Blanche Varney Marcum. He is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved oldest grandson Joey Farra. He leaves behind his loving wife of nearly 53 years, Lotus Bellomy Marcum, his daughters Deadra Marcum Thompson of Fort Gay, WV, and Ella Farra (Curtis Mosley)of Fort Gay,WV., his son Eddie and Louise Marcum of Fort Gay, WV, a son, David Marcum (Sonia) of Asheboro, NC. Also left behind is his oldest brother, William Everett Marcum of London, OH and his youngest brother, Charles Franklin Marcum of Fort Gay, WV. David leaves behind eleven grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his direct family he leaves behind three sisters in law that loved him dearly; Ms. Bonnie Bellomy Smith, Mrs. Judy Bellomy Jarrel and Mrs. Diane Bellomy Hill. David was loved by all who knew him and he loved everyone. He was a member, Deacon and Trustee of the Community Chapel Church of Big Hurricane Creek where he and his wife were married. He enjoyed hunting and all sorts of outdoor activities as well as singing and worshiping God. He will be missed by all who knew him but we take comfort in knowing that he is resting in the arms of Jesus. Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home has been entrusted with his care. A memorial service will be held Thursday April 5, 2018 at 3 P.M. at Community Chapel Church of Big Hurricanewith Pastor Robby Smith officiating. Special singing by Carla Copley.
