Thomas Edward Blake

Thomas Edward Blake, 81, husband of Laura J. Ward Blake, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington.  He was born June 22, 1939 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Russell David Blake, Sr. and Thelma Mae Coxe Blake.  Tom was a retired auto mechnic with INCO and a Veteran of the US Army Reserve.  He was a member of the Westmoreland United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir.  Anything mechanical, car, motorcycle or truck he could repair and he loved to go "antiquing" with his wife Laura.  Tom's love of sports led him to be a coach in local youth sports and also made him an avid golfer.  For twenty three years he worked the sidelines for Marshall Football as the down marker official and he was a lifelong Marshall fan.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a daughter Beth Ann Blake and a son Kiel Ward Blake.  Additional survivors include a son Doug Blake; grandson Ian Wade Blake and a brother Russell David Blake, Jr.  A Celebration of Life will be conducted at a later date.  Reger Funeral Home of Huntington is assisting the family with arrangements.  Condolences may be made to the family at www.regerfh.com .
