Thomas Ivan Hosey

Thomas Ivan Hosey, 86 of Huntington, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 11, 2025, at home. He was born November 27, 1938, in Huntington, WV a son of the late Walter Henderson and Sara Alpha Hosey. Tom faithfully attended Jefferson Ave. Church of God. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his eight siblings and six of their spouses; as well as three nephews, and one son-in-law, Grayson (Chuck) Thornton. Survivors include his devoted wife of nearly 49 years, Renee; a son Thomas Edward(Eddie) of Chesapeake, OH, Gwendolyn "Gwen" McCallister (Tom) of South Point, OH; Andrea Thornton of Fairborn, OH and Betty Tot Hosey of Huntington; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson; brother-in-law and his wife, a sister-in-law and a multitude of nieces and nephews and friends, whom he dearly loved. Tom retired from the city of Huntington in 1997 after 25 years of service as a firefighter. Prior to that, he was an artisan craftsman, hand blowing glass at Pilgrim glass. A memorial service will be held at Jefferson Avenue Church of God, Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 1:00 pm with Pastor Greg Tomlinson and Pastor Stewart Farley officiating. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The Last Call Ceremony will be conducted by the HFD. Reger Funeral Home is assisting the Hosey family with the arrangements.
