Thorn Gene Davis

Thorn Gene Davis, 49 of Huntington, WVa, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. A Memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Monday June 18 at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Rodney Hale. Thorn was born June 30, 1962 in Huntington, WVa, the son of the late Jefferson and Wanda Brumfield Davis; he was a life-long employee of Chapman Printing. He is survived by his wife of 20 years Brenda Burcroff Davis; one sister Lydia Davis Pruitt and husband Jack Pruitt, of Huntington, nephews and nieces: Jeffrey, Jessye, Jake and Kelly Gregg, Sydney and Jake Collins, Hannah Burcroff and Jacob Slone, Jack Pruitt,Jr. and Alex and Paul Mejia. In addition, Thorn had many furry, four legged friends, Lady Bug ,Stella B, JimJim, Rush, Bear, Smokey, Shirley Bird, Simon, Bullet and Rudy Johnson. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in “Memory of Thorn Davis” to the Metro Community Federal Credit Union Huntington, WV 25703; these funds will be used to improve the lives of animals, something that was important to Thorn.
