Tony Ray Cox

Tony Ray Cox, 66, of Huntington, went to have his "Cheeseburger in Paradise" on Monday, December 11, 2023.  A Celebration of Life will be led by Pastor Tracy Mills on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 1 pm at Madison Avenue Christian Church. Tony was born on June 23, 1957 in Cambridge, England a son of the late Donald Rae Cox and Betty Eileen Walker Whipkey. He was a supervisor for UPS for many years. He had a passion for riding his Harley-Davidson with his friends and family. In his retirement he found a love for cooking and a talent for smoking meats. He was a gun enthusiast and taught  concealed carry classes. His greatest love was his family. He enjoyed spending time with them and taking care of them any way he could.  Tony's helping hands extended to friends and even strangers whenever he saw a need.   In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-father, Laural Whipkey; one brother, Michael Cox; and a step-sister, Georgia Menear. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Tammi Cox; two sons, Paul (Peggy) Cox and John (Leslie "Shrew") Cox; six grandchildren, Ryan, Ryder, Peyton, Kayden, Lillian, and Riggs; one sister and brother-in-law, Tina (Gary) Cazad; a step-brother and step sister-in-law, David (Sharon) Whipkey; one nephew, Todd (Tina) Cox; three nieces, Christie (Matt) Reavis, Kimberly (Jonathan) Beaver, and Lorie Moran; and many loving friends. Friends may visit with family from noon until service time on Friday, December, 15, 2023 at Madison Avenue Christian Church.
