Travie Jane Ross

Travie Jane (Williams) Ross passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025, in Coolville, Ohio, at the age of 77. Born on June 27, 1947, in Fairmont, West Virginia, Travie lived a life full of compassion, strength, and unwavering love for her family and community.

She shared 50 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Dean Ross. Travie was a devoted mother to three sons: Brent Casey (Mary Casey), Bryan Casey (Jane Casey), and Sam Ross (Jo delAmor), her sister Tracie Ross (David) and two great-grandsons, Cedar Ross (Sophia Ross), and Benjamin Casey. She was preceded in death by her mother Ruby Dale Williams and her father Hershel Woodrow Williams.

Travie was known for her warm heart and generous spirit, which she brought to her work at Green Acres Regional Center, The Ronald McDonald House, and the Marshall University Campus Christian Center. Her presence touched many lives, and her legacy of kindness and service will continue to inspire those who knew her.

Services to honor Travie’s life will be held at Reger Funeral Home – Adams Avenue. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27 from 3pm to 5pm with the funeral occurring at Reger Funeral Home on Monday, April 28 at 10am with a graveside service immediately following at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, where she will be laid to rest.

Travie will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
