Vera Ellen Napier

Vera Ellen Napier, 61, of Kenova died Thursday, September 10, 2009 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 27, 1948 in Cabell County to the late Wilbur and Irene (Patterson) Wells. Mrs. Napier was of the Baptist Faith. She united in marriage to Elijah Napier who survives. To this union were born two daughters, Alisha and Kevin Grayson of Huntington and Rhonda and Jeff Moine also of Huntington. Other survivors include three brothers, Bob Wells, Keith Wells, and Steve Wells, and four sisters, Alice Maynard, Sally Maynard, Evelyn Webb, and Marlene Kitchen. She also leaves behind five beloved grandchildren, Zachary Moine, Caleb Moine, Jonah Moine, Thane Grayson, and Keyan Grayson, along with a great-grandchild Elijah Starkey. Mrs. Napier was preceded in death by a sister Donna Blanton. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1pm Monday at Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 6-8.
