Verma Helen Ridenour, 81, formerly of Springfield, MO, daughter of the late Cloyd and Edith Ice, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at her home in Huntington, WV. She is survived by two loving daughters: Tami Chatterton and Dana Reed, two grandchildren: Amanda (David) Edwards, Joe (Amy) Chatterton, five great grandchildren: Paycie, Olivia, Levi, Lyndlee, and Charlee, several nieces and nephews, two brothers: Bob (Lola) Ice, Carl (Judy) Ice, and one sister in law, Donna (Wayne)Towe, of Springfield, MO. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Claude Ridenour, her son-in-law, Bill Chatterton, and her sister, Carolyn Smith. Verma became a Christian as a young adult and relied on God as a constant in her life. She had been sick and confined to her house for many years, but this did not stop her from offering the warmest of smiles, hugs, and sending countless cards of thanks and encouragement to so many. She loved her husband, children, and grandchildren immensely, and she will surely be missed. A small graveside service is set for Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 1pm at Spring Valley Memory Gardens, officiated by Brother Wyn Baker of Lavalette, WV.
