Vernard Mccomas

Vernard McComas, 70, of Grayson, KY passed away on August 6, 2016 at Carter County Nursing Home. He was born on November 30, 1945 in Logan County, WV; a son of Cletus McComas and Matilda Crum. He was a service technician for Quality Insulation Heating & Air. He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Wanda Hutchinson and Bernard McComas; his brothers-in-law, Clifford and Arthur Hutchinson and Lucien Roberts and a loving daughter-in-law, Pam Fryer Workman. Vernard leaves behind to mourn his loss his sons: Abraham and Andrew Workman; his sisters, Betty Hutchinson and Janice Roberts; a special granddaughter, Chloe, who was close to his heart; 2 other granddaughters and 2 grandsons; a special niece, Diana Hutchinson and a host of nieces, nephews and a very good friend, Billy Spurlock. His wishes were to be cremation so Tri-State Cremation Society will perform his cremation. The family will have a private graveside service on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Crum Cemetery, Route 3 in Catlettsburg, KY. Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home is entrusted with his care.
