Violet Mead

Violet Mead, 83, of Huntington, widow of Martin Mead, passed away Sunday September 20, 2015 at Cabell Health Care Center, Culloden, WV. She was born October 31, 1931 in Cabell County, WV, a daughter of the late Willard and Jennie Hutchinson Adkins. She was a retired housekeeper with Cabell Huntington Hospital and a member of the Jackson Ave. Church of God Holiness. In addition to her husband and parents she was also preceded in death by two sons Issac Jackson Mead and Lewis Eugene Mead; brothers Sherdon Adkins and Willis Adkins and sisters Loretta Maynard and Margie Adkins. Survivors include son Rodney Mead; daughter in law Becky Tedd Mead; grandchildren Misti Lewis and Shawna Mead; great grandchildren Braydon Peeler, Trystan Peeler and Brooklyn Marie Hafler and a brother Lewis Adkins. Funeral services will be private for the family only.
