Virginia Dare Bailey

VIRGINIA DARE BAILEY, 90 of Huntington, W.Va., widow of Harrison L. Bailey passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, September 8, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor David Akers. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Memorial Park. Virginia was born on November 17, 1925, in Lawrence County, Ky., the daughter of the late George Washington and Beatrice Damron Sparks. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her grandson Rich Neace and brother and sisters Douglas Sparks, Ann Clemons and Nora Edwards. Virginia was a telephone switchboard operator during WWII, life member of the American Ex-Prisoners of War Association and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 1064. Virginia was also an avid volunteer, 40 years of service at the Huntington VA Medical Center. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law H.L. and Karen Bailey of Huntington, W.Va., and daughter and son-in-law Brenda Carol and Dick Neace of Proctorville, Ohio; grandchildren and spouses Brent and Melissa Neace, Tyler and Stacy Neace, Nicole Burton and Jon Boso, Drew and Rachel Bailey, Brittaney Bailey and Rob Adkins; granddaughter-in-law Peggy Neace; great-grandchildren Hailley and Nicolas Clutters and Sydney Burton, Cameron, Collin, Luke and Kirstyn Neace, Bryson, Addison and Gracin Bailey, Dakota McGhee, and Qade Adkins; four brothers, Joe, Jimmy, Ray and Bennie Sparks and four sisters, Norma Pratt, Beulah Mougey, Nancy Blake and Mildred Mills.
