Walter "Walt" Carroll

March 17, 1953 — November 25, 2015

Walter “Walt” Carroll, 62 of Huntington, passed away on November 25, 2015 at his residence. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 1:00pm at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastors Scott Byard and Rabun Haddock. Walt was born on March 17, 1953 in Huntington, WV the son of the late Irl Evans and Tennessee Watts Carroll. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Gary Carroll. Walt was a retired firefighter with the City of Huntington from 1978 to 1997 and a Community Service Officer prior to his going on the fire department. He was involved in the Ceredo Kenova community youth sports programs having coached baseball, basketball and softball, the Wayne and Cabell county Special Olympics and a CK High School and Spring Valley Band Booster. Survivors include his son Joshua Scott Carroll; two daughters Corie Lynne Carroll and Neilee Nicole Carroll and two nephews Brock and Brian Carroll. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am Saturday until service time at the Reger Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.regerfh.com. Reger Funeral Home is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to the C-K Youth Sports Organizations or the Vinson Youth Sports Organizations.
