Wanda Eskins

Wanda Eskins, 82, of Ashland, KY, formerly of Huntington, widow of Paul Eskins, went home to be with her Lord, on Thursday January 11, 2018 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Monday at England Hill Freewill Baptist Church, Catlettsburg, KY, by Pastor Willie May and Chaplain Jim Smedley. Burial will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova, WV. She was born September 17, 1935, a daughter of the late Fed McCoy, Sr. and Carrie Jude McCoy. She was a homemaker. Wanda was a dedicated woman after God’s own heart and she attended England Hill Freewill Baptist Church, Catlettsburg, KY. In addition to her husband and parents she was also preceded in death by a son Michael Ray Eskins; brothers Hiram McCoy, Sr., Fred McCoy, Jr., Buddy McCoy and Earl McCoy; sisters Ruby Cook, Iva Midkiff, stillborn sister Loretta McCoy and Sarah “Toots” Lucas. Survivors include two daughters Patricia (Steve) Amis of Kenova, WV. and Pamela (Larry) Carter of Ashland, KY; grandchildren Bub Amis, Nathan Carter (fianc Moniquica), Jeremy (Samantha) Carter, a wonderful granddaughter Carrie (Shawn) Merritt; great grandchildren Sophia and Colton Amis, Kellan Wolfe, Brynleigh Merritt, Maci and Tripp Carter and Lincoln Carter; brothers Cecil (Fran) McCoy of Summersville, WV and Russell (Liddie) McCoy of Virginia; sisters Ruth Chapman of North Carolina, Hazel (Jack) Chapman of Huntington, WV, Geneva (Bud) Fields of Ceredo, WV. and Rebecca Whitt of Kenova, WV; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Friends may call from 2 to 4 pm Sunday at the Reger Funeral Home and from 1 pm until service time Monday at the England Hill Freewill Baptist Church, Catlettsburg, KY.
