Wanda Evalee Boyd

Wanda Evalee Boyd, 89, of Huntington, W.Va., widow of Joe E. Boyd, Sr., passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 1:00pm at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington with Pastor Ray Williamson and Pastor Phil Williamson. Burial will follow at Davis Cemetery, Prichard, W.Va. She was born on August 29, 1934 in Wayne, W.Va., the daughter of the late Alvin and Ruby Adkins Porter. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a step-daughter and step-son, Linda Falvo and Joe Boyd; a brother, Alvin Glen Porter; and sister, Geneva Lou Marshall. She was a retired employee with Owens Illinois Glass, a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church since February 5, 1981 and an avid Marshall University fan. Friends and family are encouraged to wear their Marshall gear for the visitation and funeral. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Obie Maynard; and grandchildren, Jessica Robertson, Nick and Amanda Wellman; and great grandson, Jackson Wellman; a very special great granddaughter, Hadley Robertson; son, John Boyd; and grandchildren, John and Callie; and son and daughter-in-law, Paris and Teresa Workman; and grandsons, Josh, Paris, Casey, Remmington, Curtis, and Brandon Workman; granddaughters, Amy and Shannon; three great granddaughters, Adda Lee, Ensley and Brilee Workman; grandchildren Angela Habaugh, Stephanie Fernandez, and Steven Smith; grandsons, Brandon and Chris Boyd; a very special niece, Lisa Bailey; and a sister, Sue Cook. Pallbearers will be George Marshall, Joey Cremeans, John Boyd and Casey Workman. The family would like to thank her care givers: Pinky, Ty, Joey, Anthony, Pam, Veronica, Peyton, Dezz, Kali, Dereck,Carrie, Brandon and Megan.
