Wayne Stepp

Wayne Stepp, 80, of Ironton, Ohio was reunited in Heaven with his Wonderful Savior, Jesus Christ on February 27, 2024. Wayne was born on October 22, 1943, in Panther, West Virginia to the late Dewey and Anna Meddings Stepp. He is survived by his wife of 24 years Gail Stepp; as well as his daughter, Tabitha Arnold; and grandson, Tyler Arnold. Also surviving is stepdaughter, Karen (Johnny) Nance; and grandchildren, Jonathan and Cherrie; as well as sisters, Freda (Glenn) Romans and Barbara Brown; and special friend and brother-in-law, Roger Brown; as well as a host of other great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Carrie Stepp; as well as his siblings, Patricia Stepp, Linda Stepp, Loretta Plank, Dewey Stepp, Shirley Hall, Eddie Stepp and Wilma “Winky” Brown.

Wayne served in the Army and loved his country. Wayne worked as a mechanic his entire life retiring from AK Steel in Ashland, Kentucky. In his spare time, you would find him working and making improvements to his beloved home. You could often find him golfing whether on the course or on his home-made green in the backyard. Wayne was a member of Grace Gospel Church for many years. Funeral service to honor Wayne's memory will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 1:00pm at the Reger Funeral Home, Huntington. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 am until service time on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at the Reger Funeral Home Huntington.
