Wetzel Paul Perry

Wetzel Paul Perry, 60, of Huntington, WV, went to be with Jesus suddenly on Tuesday, June 30th, 2020 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, July 3rd, 2020 at graveside. Burial will be at Spring Valley Memory Gardens in Huntington, WV. All that knew him are welcome to attend. Wetzel was born on July 14, 1959 in Huntington, WV, to the late Wetzel Perry and Lou Verna Perry. Wetzel was a dedicated employee at River Cities Anesthesia where he worked for 22 years serving at both St. Mary’s Medical Center and Three Gables Surgery Center. He was a former Deacon at 20th Street Baptist Church in Kenova, WV.  He is now  a member of 1st Baptist Church Ceredo, W.V.  Wetzel was an active Marshall University fan and Moderator of the MU online discussion board. He is also a proud C-K alumni and played for 3 Football Championship Teams. Surviving is his loving wife of 38 years, Rhonda (Freeman) Perry, of Huntington, WV. Wetzel has 4 surviving children, Nichole Sanders and husband Tai, Ashlea McComas and husband Aaron, Jordan Perry, Conner Perry and wife Victoria. He is also survived by a slew of grandchildren, Grant, Madison and Olivia Sanders, Rylee, Chance and Alyssa Meadows, AJ, Walker McComas, and soon-to-be-born Stetson McComas, Aurora and Sophia Perry. Wetzel also has several aunts, uncles ,cousins and many, many friends.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Samaritan’s Purse in Wetzel’s name.
