Willa Dean Allen

Willa Dean (McKeand) Shy Allen, 85 of Huntington, WV went to her heavenly home on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Grayson�s Assisted Living, Route 75, Kenova, WV. She was born on November 18, 1930 in Kenova, WV; a daughter of James Willis McKeand and Ruth Priscilla (Johnson) McKeand. She retired as a bookkeeper for Ceredo Bank and was a member of Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Joe Henry Shy, and her second husband, Harland Allen and her sisters, Wilma J. Nichols and Glenna Wellman. Willa leaves behind to mourn her loss her children: Dr. Joseph A. Shy, DO (Sarah), Dr. Stephen Shy Sr., DO (Nancy), Vickie L. Smith (David) and D. Grant Shy, MD (Tracy); her grandchildren: Dr. Stephen C. Shy II, MD, Stacey C. Shy, Stephanie McCloud, J. Ryan Shy, Natasha Wall, Jennifer Leonard, Jessica Peek, Jayme Shy and Dr. Joseph C. Shy, MD. Also surviving are her 19 great-grandchildren and her siblings, Alfreda Wade and Lillian J. Stephens. Funeral services for Willa will be conducted on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at Church of Christ at 2402 5th St. Road at 1 pm with Elders David Smith and Robert Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Kenova, WV.
