William "Billy" Walker, 68, of Huntington, WV, passed away November 5, 2021 at his residence. He was born June 15, 1953, in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Andrew and Ruth Walker. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a sister Claudia Dennis. Billy is survived by his sisters and brothers in law Bettie and Norman Scaggs and Barbara and Pete Chiericozzi. He was a musician. Ever wonder how Billy got started playing the drums? Well, when he was a young boy he fell carrying a glass jug. The jug shattered and the glass shards he fell on severally cut one of his wrists. In order to regain the use of his hand, the doctor recommended several physical therapies. One of those therapies was playing the drums, thus launching his musical career. Billy played for Special Events, Churches and Clubs in Huntington and the Tri-State area. There will be a graveside funeral service for Billy on Friday April 8 at noon at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, conducted by Pastor Charles Vance. Billy's friends, Mark Stark, Tykie Stover, Randy Ash, Chris Altizer, Buddy McCoy, Scott Martin, Anthony Cremeans and Bain Creasy, will be his honorary pallbearers. There will be no visitation or procession to the cemetery.
